Happy Thanksgiving

I am sitting down to write in the midst of a busy month of jewelry shows, studio time and psychology practice. I am excited to take some time off this week to host my family for the holiday. I wish all of you a holiday filled with renewal of connections. I thank you for your interest in reading my blog and participating in an artistic journey with me. Do not hesitate to reach out if I can help you find just the right art jewelry gift for yourself, friends or family.

November started with the Metal + Smith Pop-Up show in Soho, NYC on November 4th and 5th. I met so many wonderful customers and fellow jewelry artists at this show and appreciated my friends and family who were able to stop by. Last week was NYC Jewelry Week and I participated in a show in Brooklyn called SG x SG, Two Communities Coming Together. Two of my Organic Form Collection pieces will continue to be on display and for sale at Specific Gravity in Brooklyn through the end of 2022. You can check out the online exhibition here. I attended the opening on November 18th and was delighted to meet the Stay Gold Collective members (I am a member) and the Specific Gravity/Brooklyn Metal Works community. Tonight is the Los Angeles County Psychological Association’s Mirrors of the Mind virtual opening of an exhibit of the work of psychotherapists who are also artists. This is my second year participating in this wonderful show. You can visit the Mirrors of the Mind exhibit here.

So what’s new on the jewelry making front? I got a used high speed polishing machine/cabinet for my home studio and I am very excited about it! All my available work on the website is polished and ready to ship for holiday shopping. There are a two items that are made to order, the crinkled hoops and essential diamond ring. I can take new orders for these items until December 10th to arrive in time for the holidays. I am already planning new collections for 2023. At this stage I am making drawings and prototypes and I will keep you posted on my progress. I also am planning to add to the Secure Attachment collection over the next few months. I recommend you follow me on Instagram or TikTok to see process videos of my work as it happens.

For Giving Tuesday I am promoting mental health and well being by giving back 20% of all ready to ship purchases to NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. I hope you might consider doing your holiday shopping that day to contribute to such a worthy cause.
