Pandemic Thoughts

I was taking weekly metalsmithing classes for six years when the Pandemic hit in 2020. I loved the classes and made lots of great jewelry over the years and assumed this was a hobby. When I was unable to attend in person classes I was obsessed with setting up a home studio in my garage. I think that making jewelry helped me survive the Pandemic and it’s true. I became more experimental and tried and failed at many things. This helped me to see that I am an artist at heart and that holding a soldering torch is my art therapy. I love my professional life, but now I know I need to make art to be me.
